This is a blog with some identity issues. We are not yet 100% sure what we want to do with it. The only thing we know is that we want to write entertaining articles to honor intelligent women. To learn more about our purposes with this, please read our mission statement.

But what is this about big books? Is that some sort of fetish? Is this site going to be entirely filled with pictures of women holding large books?

No, the big books aren’t important. The point is what they represent. “Girls with Big Books” is supposed to stand in contrast to “Girls with Big Boobs” – showing how we care much more about minds than looks.

But the books don’t necessarily represent any particular kind of intelligence. We here at GBB like all kinds of interesting minds. We like girls who are science geeks, computer nerds, literary buffs, artists, engineering marvels, and so on. We always like when people really use their minds.

We think that nerdy girls are sexy, and that is what this site is all about.

To start with we will be presenting a series of articles honoring various such women (again, for more information about why we think this is necessary, se our mission statement) and then we will see where we go from there.

Ideally we would like to further our purpose with generous helpings of humor. We would also love some interaction from our visitors, so be sure to leave comments on our posts, and contact us if you have any suggestions.
