Yesterday I wrote a post about webcomics and comics in general. I briefly mentioned xkcd, a webcomic that is extremely popular among nerdy people.

I want to pay special tribute to xkcd, because I think that Randall Munroe, who creates this minimalist stick-figure strip, has a great ability to think up the best in nerdy girls. The women in his comic are usually so intelligent and nerdy that they look rather sexy despite being nothing but a few simple black lines.

The one above depicts a girl who must be the most romantic geek ever, and one of my favorite fictional females. Original found here

There is plenty more where that came from. Here are some other examples of my favorite girls:

There’s the girl who, during an intimate encounter with her math-obsessed beau, starts tapping out the Fibonacci-sequence with the touch of her fingertips on his body.

A story arc, beginning here, deals with the two greatest hackers of our era; the cookie baking mother Mrs. Roberts and her daughter Elaine.

Another, or quite possibly the same, mom teaches her son’s school a valuable lesson about handling their databases through some creative, nerdy naming.

This programmer girl writes a virus that makes it so that when someone tries to post a YouTube comment, it is first read back to them aloud. I really wish this girl, or at least the virus was real, because it is really needed to make most of the people commenting there understand how stupid they sound.

Then there’s this girl, who exploits vulnerabilities in wireless networking to connect to a computer in an irritating driver’s car, to play a prank on him and torment him psychologically. Maybe not the kind of girl I’d want to get too involved with, but definitely an interesting one.

This girl teaches us about how to become a real grown-up.

And here is a lovely girl of the more adventurous type.

There are more, but if you’ve followed and enjoyed all these links you might as well read through the whole archive. I do not consider that time wasted, at least not if you are sufficiently nerdy.
